Our talk on 17th June is an interesting and entertaining film archive, with photos and audio recordings — an affectionate history of the sixties' 'Offshore Radio' and 'Pop Pirate' stations, with a Suffolk slant, presented by Charles Wright and Brian Nichols of Felixstowe and Offshore Radio. Although Radio Caroline is better known for broadcasting off the Essex coast, it spent its first six months broadcasting from off Felixstowe. 2024 is the station's 60th birthday, as it started in 1964, so we are lucky to get them. It promises to be an interesting, fun talk that brings back many happy memories.
