SONS OF THE SOIL: Researching Our Agricultural Labouring Ancestors — Janet Few
—
Every family has them — ancestors who worked on the land. How can we find out more about them, the farms where they worked and the lives that they led? Janet's talk on Monday, 20th November, covers a range of sources, many of them under-used, which will help to shed light on the working lives of our rural British ancestors. She will be talking to us over Zoom.
President of the Family History Federation, Janet Few is an experienced and qualified family, social and community historian who lectures regularly throughout the UK and overseas. She has spoken at many national and international genealogical events, and is also a well known author. She also spoke to us in November two years ago, recalling life in Britain during the pivotal period 1946 to 1969.
The talk is at the Fromus Centre, Street Farm Road, Saxmundham IP17 1AL, at 2.30pm
(behind the Library, doors open around 2:00pm)
