WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE ON OUR RESEARCH PANEL?
As Secretary, I often receive enquiries and appeals for help from members of the public with their research. They can be from beginners, or more experienced family historians who have hit a ‘brick wall’, or who may be looking for specialist local knowledge.
When I receive these enquiries, often by email, I usually establish first if they have tried online sites such as FindmyPast and ancestry.com. That done, I then ask members of the Committee if they could help. We are suggesting widening this out so any member of the Group could help. Just ask for your name to be put on my mailing list — you can reach me by email here — and I will contact you when an enquiry comes in.
☞ added, 12/12/19: Now, an online Research Request Form is available HERE also.
