AGM 2021

UPDATED ON 9th JUNE
—

Paid-up Members should click here to register for attendance at the Zoom AGM on 21st June.

In view of item 7, "Proposed Amendments to the Constitution",
the current Constitution can be viewed and/or downloaded here.

For convenience only, the proposed textual changes can be viewed by clicking here.

Non-members are most welcome to join in time for the AGM, which they can do here! —
but need to register for attendance, as above, too (pointing out that they're new members).

UPDATED ON 28th MAY
—
This notice was emailed to most Members by the Secretary today, or sent to those who prefer it by post.

Dear Alde Valley Suffolk Family History Group members,

I am writing to inform you that our forthcoming Annual General Meeting will be held on:

MONDAY 21st JUNE, 2021 at 7.30pm, online via ZOOM

As with our previous AGM (held September 2020), the Committee feel it is not possible to resume physical meetings (or our monthly talks) just yet.  Therefore, we have decided to hold the AGM online via Zoom again.

If you would like advice on how to use Zoom, our Chairman Chris Broom would be very willing to help.   Just click here to contact me, and I will pass your details on to him.

If you still feel unable to attend, but would like to vote, you may do so by proxy vote – just complete and return the Proxy Voting Form that you received.

The Constitution is available, to view and/or download, by clicking here.

The AGM will be followed by an informal discussion amongst members about the future of the Group, and then by a showing of a selection of short films on local history.

A link to the Zoom meeting will be sent on the day to all members shortly before the AGM is due to start.  However, if you wish to 'attend' it would be useful if you could confirm beforehand (by clicking here) so we can get an idea of numbers.

Please note that you must be a Paid-up Member of the Group in order to attend the AGM
(and therefore vote) or vote by proxy!
Non-members are most welcome to join in time for the meeting, which they can do here.

Regards,
Angela Skelcher
Secretary, AVSFHG

POSTED ON 24th MAY, REMAINING UNCHANGED
—
As the size of its membership base expands, the Group is also keen to recruit volunteers to help with its increasingly varied activities.  This doesn’t mean you have to join the Committee — however, if you have IT, project management or general administrative skills, and some free time to spare, we would love to hear from you.  Please email the Secretary.

You can read a report on our 2020 AGM, postponed and then held over Zoom,
at avsfhg.org.uk/events/view/86.
