LOOKING AFTER PHOTOGRAPHS
– don't touch the image as it leaves marks
– no labels and no ink
– soft pencil 9B, rub down after sharpening, do not press into back of  photograph
– avoid unnecessary exposure to light
– store at constant cooler temperatures rather than high
– keep relatively dry
– use archival sleeves in archival albums
– when using archival storage, can be stored in enamelled, not painted, metal cabinet
– never store in a wooden container, whether new or old wood
– internet sites offer photograph-storage opportunities
– make backup copies, preferably electronically
