Using property records for tracing Family and House History
SFHS Ipswich Branch event: Property records are an underused, potentially rich source of information about our ancestors and history of houses. The processes for transfer or inheritance of property produced a range of documents. The type of ownership (tenure) such as freehold or copyhold determines how property was transferred and where records are found. Learn strategies to find, interpret and incorporate property records into your research.
