2022 AGM & talk: "Why Family History matters"

Because of when Easter falls this year, our AGM will take place on the FOURTH Monday, 25th April at 2:30pm — as our first "physical" in-person meeting since February 2020.  It will be followed by a talk by "our" Chris Broom on "Why Family History matters", but as he's speaking in person, for technical reasons we find we can't offer a Zoom option — contrary to earlier publicity, and what can still appear in local papers with early cut-off dates.  Our apologies for that unavoidable change.

As it is the AGM, this event will be free-of-charge for everyone, both members AND non-members — just 'turn up', there is no booking.  Of course, only paid-up Members will be allowed to vote on any motions during the AGM phase of the meeting.  The Agenda has been sent out (usually by email) to all paid-up Members, and includes two suggested minor changes to the Constitution.  The current version of the Constitution (V4) can be downloaded from here.

Any further updates (though none are expected) will appear on this page in due course.

APOLOGIES are appreciated from Members who can't attend,
and who are invited NOW to email any of the Committee, to be duly noted in the AGM Minutes.

You can read a report on our 2021 AGM (held over Zoom) at avsfhg.org.uk/events/view/116.
