Port of Lowestoft Research Society collects all relative material, including 13,000 records of vessels that were built in, owned at or visited Lowestoft.
Suffolk Family History Society (SFHS) — has groups in Lowestoft, Ipswich, Haverhill, Bury St Edmunds and Sudbury/Long Melford
They have 440 images of war graves in Ipswich cemeteries and graveyards, some not on the CWGC website (available to SFHS members)
⎋ Suffolk Local History Council (SLHC) — the umbrella local history organisation for the County, and a valuable source of information.
Suffolk Societies webpage offered by familysearch.org looks useful, but depends on groups and users to keep the information up-to-date.
